Elf

Is it just me? I wonder. I don't have a lot of Elf products but the ones I do own I havent been so happy about. Elf products are really cheap so I really don't mind. However, I guess it's true sometimes what they say... You get what you pay for. I bought this Pencil Smudge brush, it looked all nice in it's package but as soon as I opened it and tried to use it this is what happened...

I've had this Elf Nail Polish for a pretty long while now. I absolutely love the color, it's called Light Red.

Unfortunately this is what I have to deal with every time I want to use this color...

I have this Duo Cream Eyeshadow that I haven't really worn. I like both colors but I'll see how good this is.

These two Lip Glosses I am so so about. I have found out that some of their colors are very much alike. I really have to put a good amount of gloss on my lips to get a good color.

None the less Elf products are very cheap and aiight. Ha ha ha. It's not like I'll never buy their products again because most likely I will. Oh I have the Elf Conditioning Lip Balm which I really like. I use it almost everyday to condition my lips before I apply anything on them. It leaves them really nice and smooth, and I have some of their eyelashes I have yet to try. Can't wait. How about you guys? How do you like Elf products? Have you had any bad buys like mine? Hee heee.

  1. I've seen mixed reviews for them, however a majority were not good being that they're cheap. I don't own any ELF but kind of want to try their palettes. The lip colors actually look really nice ob you though :)

  3. I agree, with some of their products, you deffo do get what you pay for. My favorite products of theirs are the mineral lipsticks and eyeshadows.

  11. I have always been a fan of their products, but as you stated sometimes you do get what you paid for! I love their nail polishes so I was surprised to see what have to deal with every time you want to use that lovely red color! I haven't seen that on any of the nail polishes i own. I used to love their old lash curler (when they first launched) but I found the new ones to be absolutely HORRIBLE! They hurt and break your lashes. I also love their tweezers. As far as their brushes, I have had the same exact thing happen to mine! I just put some super glue and their good to go, but it sucks when that happens =(

  13. I'm a big fan of elf, simply because it's quite good for the price you pay. You just gotta know which products to buy but sometimes.. The quality differs between batches =.= A couple of my brushes came off too but I just put it back in and it hasn't come out ever since.

As for the lip glosses, what's the reddish colour? I have Pink Kiss and it doesnt look like that (assuming the pink one is Pink Kiss). Mine was so frosty and I don't like frosty x.x

  14. I feel that way about some NYX products too. The containers and packaging are so crummy and I feel like I am using play makeup for junior highs students.

  18. I owe a few Elf products that so far I'm very happy with no complains. For instance the regular $1 shadow brush, the waterproof eye pen, their liquid eyeliner, and their Beauty books of eyeshadows are at the top of my list.

  19. I agree, Elf can be hit or miss. I love the eyeshadow brushes for a $1! But I bought one last week and when I took it out of the plastic the brush had tons of glue on it! so bad! I've got 800 of them though so I guess one bad one won't hurt! xo

  20. the best elf products are their blushes, bronzers, and brushes.... hmmmm i just noticed they all start with B's!! LOL

the blushes and bronzers are very pigmented and the brushes dont shed, and the bristles are very soft.
