Soft Tropical

Hello dear followers! Its been a loooong while since I posted anything, sooo sorry for that. Life seems to be on SUPER FAST PACE all of a sudden. Regardless of me not posting anything I've noticed that my followers have been growing in numbers and I want to thank you all so much. I owe it to you guys to get with it, as far as posting so you all can begin to enjoy my blog once again. =) So to get this ball rolling once more here's a post of a look I did about a week ago.
It's very simple, natural and warm looking. I wanted to do something that would POP therefor I used orange on the lids but once I used brown on the crease the look took a complete turn and became more of a soft look regardless of the orange. For my lids I used the CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 4 Kit Eyeshadow Set in Tropical Fusion.

For the crease i used Mac's eyeshadow in Espresso.

Blended both of the colors very well with the Mac 224 brush. As far as the highlight goes I used Mac's Ricepaper very lightly under the brow bone. Mac's Blush In Gingelry and Mac's LipGlass in Chai. After all was done I did notice that the CoverGirl Eyeshadow I used did enhance the look of my eyes. My Eyes looked much lighter in the sun light! Loved it! =D Happy Wednesday lovely followers!

Easy Sunday Look

Hello ladies, here's a post to my Sunday look. I decided to keep my makeup natural looking by using some brown/purple tones. I only used 3 eye shadows to create the look for my eyes. I used a vanilla color all over the lid, then used a light brown above my crease, a darker brown in the crease and for the highlight under my brow I used the same color I used on my lid. I applied eyeliner on both my upper and lower lids and smoked both of them out with a pencil brush. A bit of mascara, blush and lip gloss and I was done. =) Hope you guys liked!

Funny Face Beauty: Dare To Wear Charity Challenge

Hello Ladies, Alicia the beautiful young lady behind Funny Face Beauty Blog posted up a challenge for her followers. Out of all the challenges she has posted this one is important due to the fact that her and her parents will donate money to the Stephen Lewis foundation (for Aids) with every entry. You guys should totally check it out HERE and enter if possible. It is a great way to have fun, do something different, or even sharpen up on your skills. :) I took a little bit of inspiration from every picture she posted. I began the look by doing a regular makeup look with colors that made me think... Africa. When done with the makeup I decided to put on some accessories to give the look a bit more character. After the accessories I still felt a bit not pleased so I decided to paint some black dots on my nose/forehead.

But wait that's not all. Let me take you trough my journey. Ha ha. I still felt like the look was missing something, so there I go taking out my kids paintbrushes and NON TOXIC washable paint. I grabbed some colors and began painting my face. I added some yellow dots and lines to my face and bang! it gave the look some feel if you know what I mean. Ha ha.
Thought I was done? Ha ha, well I wasn't. I then took some white paint and added a bit more to my face. I'm telling you these challenges are both challenging and Fun! Even my son was saying, "Now do me mom, me, me!" Ha ha :) I didn't like how the white triangles looked so I took them off.
After much trying and adding and taking off I ended up with this final look. Hope you guys enjoyed my African inspired look. You guys should totally check out Alicia's Blog and give this challenge a shot. You'll have fun, I promise. :)

So much Fun!

Hello ladies I thought I'd let you inn on yesterday's day. So ... every Sunday my kids my husband and my self get up early to go to Church. This Sunday since it was Halloween I had to make some yummy treats for my son's Sunday School class. I asked him if he wanted mommy to make a yummy bowl of mixed fruit or if he wanted mommy to make Jello. He was torn and thought about it for a pretty long while since he likes both very much. He hee. :) After a while of thinking my little man said Jello! So I ventured into doing him and his classmates some Jello. The little kids in his class are 3-4 years old so I wanted to make something cute and fun. This is what I did... Ghost Jello! I thought they came out so cute and my baby boy loved them!

After Church we went back home to eat, rest and get ready for our Church's Annual Harvest Festival for more fun, games, food and candy. This year's Harvest Festival theme was Viva La Fiesta. (Kinda like 5th of May but on Halloween ha ha.) Due to our Viva La Fiesta theme I was a Señorita.(Mexican Young Lady) I made my self a flowered head piece, applied very simple makeup with thick liner and false lashes along with red lips and LISTO! I became a Señorita!

I later added little green stones and glued them on with eyelash glue. =D

Both my babies were Super Hero's. My oldest was Iron Man and my youngest in his words was, "PA MAA" (Spider Man) They both had so much FUN and ate so much candy, that the first thing my husband and I did when getting home was BRUSH THEIR TEETH!!! I love my family so much. Spending time with them and seeing them happy is the BEST felling ever! :)

Very Natural

Hello ladies, Happy Tuesday! Here's a post of all the things I used in doing this very natural look. Most of these products are my favorite! First I used MAC Studio Moisture Fix with SPF 15, to hydrate my face.

Then to prime my face I used MAC Prep +Prime.

With this beauty of a brush-MAC 109 I applied my foundation.

I used MAC's Studio Sculpt SPF 15.

This large Powder Brush I used to apply my...

MAC Mineralized Powder.

Then I moved on to doing my brows. To do just that I used This Loreal eyeshadow quad. I used the color under rich.

Before that though I used this brush-MAC 204 to comb the brows and get rid of any foundation/powder residue on my brows.

To fill in my brows I used the MAC 208. My favorite brow brush.

To begin with the application of my eyeshadow, I firs primed my eye lids up to the brow bone with Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

Right after that I used MAC Paint Pot in Painterly and I applied that all over my eye lids up to my brow bone as well.

With the MAC 252 I applied ...

MAC Blanc Type all over my eye lids.

I used this brush-MAC 217, my favorite eyeshadow brush ever! to apply my crease color. The color I used was also from the Loreal Eyeshadow Quad. It is a very pretty subtle, natural looking brown. It is the bottom one on the left.

With this Mac 224 brush I used Mac Blanc Type eyeshadow to highlight under my brow bone and the inner tear duct of my eyes.

After finishing up with my eyeshadow I applied two coats of MAC Pro Lash Mascara. Love it! :)

To apply my blush I used the Sigma Large Angled Contour brush.

The blush that I used which I have been loving for a while now is MAC's blush in Gingerly.

After all of that... what's left is my lips. I used my NYX Lip Pencil in 1000 Years. This lip color has been my favorite since High School. It never let's me down. It's my perfect go to color.

On top of that I used MAC Tinted Lipglass in Chai.

I hope you guys enjoyed this. =D

Shadows for Sexy Babe's Eyes Only!

This here is the NYX Triple Shadow Palette. The colors are... Golden/Rust and Walnut Bronze. All three colors are lovely, but the one I want to talk about today is color Golden. I've had this palette for a long time now but for some reason I haven't used it much. Yesterday I decided to use color Golden for my eye makeup and I was reminded of why I bought it. This color is sooo beautiful. It is a very pretty gold with a lovely orange undertone. It is a perfect color for a Fall eyeshadow look.

Comfort Zone

Today I was out all day trying to find some costumes for my kids. I wanted to be out the door as early as possible so I didn't step out of the box or my comfort zone with my makeup. I relied on my beloved browns. I did a soft smokey brown look with a smokey bottom lash as well. I have been into smoking out my bottom lash line for the past couple of months now. :) I like it!

MAC Omega
MAC Ricepaper
MAC Blanc Type
MAC Eye Pencil in Coffee
Mac Eye Kohl in Smolder
Mac Pro Lash

Fall Into Autumns Look

Ok so today is the first day that I feel like it's Autumn. It's been raining all day and it is a chilly 61 degrees here in my City. I felt inspired to do something nice and warm with neutral autumn colors. I did simple smokey light brown eyes with no eyeliner but what I did do with eyeliner is line my bottom lash line and smoked that out. A smokey bottom lash line goes a long way and it's not too much and it looks very nice. Pair that up with some subtle Burgundy/Red lips and you are good to go.
